I love to write. Like many women my age, I am obsessed with good looking stationery and matching pens. But unlike those women, I cannot physically use them due to poor hand function! Sick of seeing everyone enjoying the journaling craze without me, I decided to try to do the basics of journaling with the help of my iPad Air 2. I then YouTubed it and got ideas off other people and then adapted all my favourite ideas into a unique take on a craze that is making the humble notebook into a must have accessory!
Then I realised that as well as overcoming the issue of the physical component of journaling , I also am to a degree, saving the environment due to the removal of the paper notebook. I have a passion for graphic design and this has helped me develop my own templates.
I have created a weekly planner, and I use it everyday, it’s a lifesaver! I plan to develop more styles and templates in the future. I don’t plan to sell them for money, but I have the idea of free downloads or something similar down the road.
I plan to show people how easy it is to not only journal and take notes in style on the iPad but how easy it is to go green and get rid of clunky notebooks!
When I look back, I realise that my idea is not that similar to the original journaling but it’s different from the paperback notebook. I really like using the iPad to journal and now I’m one of the millions of people who journal every day all over the world, and the thought of me being one of those millions of people around the world who are doing this trend, disabled or not, makes me feel just like everyone else!
